Director of Operations
Description
General Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Executive Director, manages all day and residential services programs.
Specific Duties:
1. Ensures all self-advocate day and residential services operate according to BHDD and OIDD standards as well as any and all licensing/inspecting entity standards.
2. Ensures all day and residential services operate within Board established budgets.
3. Supervises the Day Program Manager to ensure Day Program standards are met.
4. Supervises the CTH Coordinators and SLP Coordinators to ensure Residential standards are met.
5. Works indirectly with nursing staff to ensure all self-advocate medical issues and all licensing standards are met.
6. Addresses the needs of families to ensure their concerns are addressed and documented as needed. Consults with parents, families and guardians to address their concerns including social needs.
7. Ensures that quarterly psychotropic drug reviews are completed and that Behavior Support Plans are developed and monitored as needed.
8. Assists with the agency's annual disaster drill.
9. Serves on agency committees as needed or required.
10. Ensures via the Residential Coordinators and Day Program Manager that all employee training is up-to- date.
11. Maintains good working relationship with the community and community agencies.
12. Establishes annual and long-range Residential and Day goals in coordination with the Agency's goals.
13. Ensures the Agency's policy regarding missing self-advocates is followed.
14. In the absence of the Executive Director will be responsible for the day to day operations of the entire agency
15. Contacts Executive Director during emergencies
16. Will meet with the Executive Director and Finance Director to assist in developing the annual budgets for Day and Residential services and will meet as needed thereafter
17. Other related duties as requested.
Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college and 5 years of experience working with those that have special needs and disabilities.
