Barista

Alexander’s Coffee House & Café (formerly Work & Wander), a cozy coffee shop and café, is hiring individuals for kitchen staff and food prep roles to join our friendly, fast-paced team! We’re looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a café kitchen that serves a limited breakfast and lunch menu alongside specialty coffee, smoothies, ice cream and more! Food prep experience a plus but not required.

This position offers a chance to gain experience in food service, kitchen prep, and café operations while being part of a small-town business that treats its team like family.

Your daily tasks will include assisting with food preparation, restocking kitchen ingredients and supplies, supporting the café during busy periods, and helping keep the shop clean, organized, and running smoothly. Because we’re a small café, our team works together on all aspects of the shop, and kitchen staff may also assist with basic café service when needed.

This role includes food prep, stocking, cleaning, and supporting the café during busy periods.

You’ll work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment where flexibility, reliability, and attention to detail matter.

Pay: $8–$12/hr based on experience

Schedule: Part-time with the opportunity to move to full-time | Flexible hours | Saturday availability required

Tip Pool: Tips are split between all team members on shift.
